Do you know the pony blog named “What the Hay, Aesthetics”? They are posting nice little comics speaking about the art theory, using some pony art as examples, and with a pony character as a narrator. I’m sure that this blog deserves much more attention than it has now, and it would be nice if you check it out :)

I never was fond of MLP humanizations, and I never was excited by the prospect of seeing a “canon” humanization from Hasbro. Well, I think it would be fine if Equestria Girls characters looked like ordinary anime schoolgirls. However, they don’t look like ordinary anime schoolgirls. They don’t even look like humans or anthros. They look like freaking aliens.

(On the other hoof, I should admit that these Equestria girls are still much closer to real girls than G4 ponies are to the real ponies! So I think there’s nothing to complain about.)

If they turned Spike into a dog, they must turn Big Mac into a horse. And I wonder what all the Applecest fanciers would say then.
